“A peace corner is a place where anyone can go to experience a sense
of peace and well-being.
By having a physical space that
honors peace, we are saying,
‘This is important’.”
Except from The Peace Book,
by Louise Diamond.
Everyone should have a peace corner, where they can go four peace. It may be a corner of your room, under an oak in the park or on a sandy beach.
Or you may settle right here. Consider this is your peace corner.
Thich Nhat Hanh writes in his book, Peace is Every Step, “Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see.”
But sometimes, we need to go to a quiet place to be in the present moment, to find the essence of our inner being, to be by ourselves, to be who we really are.
So, quiet your mind, bring yourself back to your breath and remember that you are worthy of a peaceful life. And a life filled with great joy, love and laughter.

Take a moment now four peace:
When you say: i am four peace The world is a better place. It really is that simple.
Sit up as straight as is comfortable for you.
Place your hands gently on your thighs or cupped in your lap with your palms facing up.
Lift your chin parallel to the ground. Relax and drop your shoulders.
Move your head around a bit to loosen your neck muscles and find its place of balance.
Now take a nice, slow, even, deep inhale through your nose.
Let your belly expand with the inhale. Visualize your breath going in through your nose and down the center of your body.
Just as slowly and evenly, exhale through your nose and guide your belly in towards your spine.
Now take a moment to smile. Say to yourself, “i am for peace”.
Repeat for at least 8 more breaths.
When you are finished, say to yourself, “i am so thankful for these moments of peace”.
Take another moment to remember your feeling of peace and set your intention to carry it with you, as best as possible, throughout your day.
Repeat as necessary...

Peace Corner Update:
“Now I've been happy lately,
thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be,
something good has begun
Oh I've been smiling lately,
dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be,
some day it's going to come
Cause out on the edge of darkness,
there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country,
come take me home again”
-Cat Stevens
